DevStudio RIP: Modular Multi-Platform Reproduction Software
DevStudio RIP is a modular multi-platform reproduction software solution designed to offer a combination of ease of use, power, and flexibility to increase productivity. The new version, DevStudio RIP 8, is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS, and has been developed to meet the needs of the major application sectors in the field of digital printing.
This software is based on a client-server architecture and employs an innovative proprietary multi-channel color engine.
Intuitive User Interface with Positioning Features
With a user-friendly interface, you can drag and position the image on the grid and work directly with the active print preview (soft proofing). All print parameters are constantly under control.
Mask Editor and Color Removal
The RIP integrates a simple tool to create masks for printed images, eliminating the need for external image editing software or expertise in this area. White masks can be generated in various ways and include an option to reduce mask edges to avoid white margins along image borders. Furthermore, the software offers the Color Removal feature to create smooth gradients.
Proprietary BG.A.P.™ Technology
An exclusive feature of the software is the BG.A.P.™ technology, which uses the color of the t-shirt as a virtual dye, reducing the use of actual CMYK inks and, especially, white ink. This gives t-shirts a more natural appearance and a better tactile feel, significantly reducing ink consumption and the thickness of the printed image on the fabric.
Coverage Calculation and Cost Estimation
The savings achieved with BG.A.P.™ can reach up to 90% when working with images using colors derived from the shirt's color. The software can be configured to provide a cost estimation for printing. Additionally, BG.A.P.™ offers a system to create color variations (Color Variation) of images based on the t-shirt color.
Integrated Print Reporting
DEVStudio DTG RIP includes a visual print report feature, allowing you to view and reprint past jobs with the same original parameters. You can also save prints to a file, enabling reprinting without the need for the original image.
